BETA THE 5-MINUTE TEXTING CHECK

Privacy & data handling

Your dating conversations deserve privacy.

What happens when you analyze a text?

The message and any context you submit are sent to OpenAI's API so the tool can generate a response. The Texting Check does not deliberately save those messages or the generated analyses in its own feedback files or account database. A technical service provider may process request data under its own terms and retention rules.

The website owner does not receive a copy of your pasted conversation in the support or feedback dashboard. Support reports and thumbs-up/down ratings are separate from the conversation you analyzed. Nevertheless, don't include names, phone numbers, addresses or other identifying details unless essential.

What feedback is retained?

When an API call fails, the website may record a reference code, timestamp and broad error category — not the pasted message. If you choose to rate an analysis, we store the rating and any explanation you type. If you report an issue, we store the explanation you provide and an optional contact email (only with your permission).

Feedback is shown for the latest 90 days. Older reports are removed from storage during feedback-log maintenance (for example when new feedback arrives). We do not automatically copy your original conversation into a feedback report. Don't include private messages in free-text feedback fields.

Do I need an account?

Not in the current beta. In a future version you may be able to create an account using your first name and email address. These would be used for account access, not automatically to subscribe you to marketing emails. Account creation and newsletter consent would be separate choices. This beta does not save or restore message history.
